Custom CDN (Content Delivery Network) For IPTV- (Setop Boxes) and OTT- (Over the Top) Devices. Implementation of the application was based on Pythona and uWSGI, while caching was performaned with commercial nginx versions and nvme storage devices.

Design and implementation of VoD Metadata Imports based on a Workflow Engine. The project also involved publishing the data towards the VoD-Shop infrastructure.

Due to the redundant nature of storing NPVR (Network Personal Video Recording) I had to devise a strategy to deduplicate content assets, for which said redundancy was no longer needed. This implementation took content validation (MPEG-Header Data) into account and evaluated a crude quality score, so that a higher-quality asset will be preferred, however balance between the storage infrastructure is maintained.

For the infrastructure at Netstream i was able to establish Puppet as a configuration and system management solution. Although there were more elaborate integrations possible at the time, i integrated the management of hosts and host groups into an external classifier, which stored class definitions in a database and allowed for more abstraction of the complexity.

The System was then extended with a CLI tool, which allowed for straightforward configuration mappings from nodes to classes via logical groups. A feature i found lacking at the time with any of the soluttions feasible.
